Sonic can break the sound barrier, but so can Rainbow Dash.
Sonic can move 10x faster than sound, so can Rainbow Dash. Now this is where the competition ends.
Sonic can move at the speed of light, in his base form, but if he runs at this speed, he can strain, so that's why he always spins.
Then Sonic can move so fast that he can stop time and space.
Plus, Sonic's name MEANS speed, SuperSONIC, HyperSONIC, not Superdash.
Sonic is faster, 'nuff said.
I love Sonic and Rainbow Dash as a team, not so much as a couple. Apart from when Rainbow Dash is drawn in this way.

He's still an alright character, but I would most definitely not say the fastest
